Think Design Rhodes Pip has an impressive CV, designing jewellery and accessories for highly regarded fashion-forward boutiques and large retail stores both in Australia and London. Pip studied design at Shilleto School of Design in The Rocks, Sydney, the School of Visual Arts and East Sydney Technical College - a breeding-ground for many of Australia's leading artists and designers. Pip apprenticed under German Goldsmith and Master Jeweller, Dirk Dujernek. Living in London in the late 80s was inspiring for Pip and she responded by starting to create what was described in the fashion magazines at the time as 'wearable art'. She designed unique accessories using beads and wire that were sought out and promoted by soap opera stars, TV presenters and musicians alike. Before long she was selling to Fortnum & Mason, Hyper Hyper in Kensington and High Street boutiques. In 2007, Think Design opened its first flagship store in one of Sydney's most iconic tourist destinations, Manly. Think's store is consistent with simple, sophisticated lines coinciding with their product. In addition to designing jewellery and leather handbags, Pip decided that Think Design should branch out into clothing. 'I felt there was a gap in the market. I wanted to offer comfortable clothes that were still a little off beat and could be worn by all ages.' Since launching the clothing range Think Design has succeeded in selling items to over 50 boutiques in Australia and recently into the US market. Think still continues to supply over 500 boutiques with accessories throughout Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and the US. Come visit us at one of ourThink stores! | |||
